Franklyn is a financial planning firm that’s firmly rooted in the community.
We’re based in Congleton, Cheshire, and as proud members of our beautiful locality, we love to give back to those around us and help make our neighbourhood a better place to live and work.
For us, being part of our community means much more than simply donating money to worthwhile local causes, although we do contribute financially in a variety of ways. We sponsor Stoke City FC and Sale Sharks for example, as well as a number of smaller, grassroots sports teams such as the rugby team at King’s School in Macclesfield.
Fun events to raise money
We also love nothing more than raising money for amazing charities through our hugely popular fundraising activities. Our annual Summer Swing and Winter Waltz events are highpoints of the local calendar, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds every year. In fact, we’ve raised around one and a half million pounds for charity over the years – a total that’s always on the rise. In 2022 we donated to local charities such as Visyon and national organisations like Place2Be – teams who do incredible and much-needed work for children in Cheshire and across the UK.
Building skills across our community
Beyond our financial contributions, however, we also believe in building skills and knowledge throughout our community, particularly when it comes to helping children understand the world of money. Our teams regularly visit local schools to help build financial skills from an early age – skills that everybody needs in order to look after their finances throughout their lives. It’s a great way to make a difference in our community.
Community Partner Programme
We have also developed our Community Partner Programme to work with local clubs in our area without sponsoring them but instead through using our existing relationships with Stoke City FC and Sale Sharks Rugby Club to support them with events, raising money, and more. Our current Community Partner’s include: Congleton Town FC, Congleton Rugby Union Football Club, Congleton Cricket Club, Congleton Tennis Club, Macclesfield Rugby Club, Alsager Tennis Club.
