Our Vision

We established the Franklyn Academy to give exceptional individuals who want to build a career in wealth management the opportunity to learn and develop.

The Academy is designed to lay the foundations to build a successful career in financial advice. We coach you through your CII Diploma exams and providing you with first-class training to develop your knowledge and skillset.

Our vision is to provide you with the highest quality training so that you can build the confidence and knowledge to establish a rewarding career where you can help our clients live their lives to the fullest. And, of course, we want to achieve this all whilst enjoying the journey.

At Franklyn we firmly believe that you learn by doing, however we also have a responsibility to protect our clients. Therefore, we believe we have developed a programme that encompasses the right mix of classroom-based learning and on the job training to help to get you where you need to be.

We also believe that change promotes growth and improvement, therefore we have worked hard to ensure that our programme is dynamic and flexible to give you an all-encompassing view of the business. We want to make sure that your experience involves a varied approach to learning whilst not being in a classroom setting 9 to 5.

The Franklyn Academy reflects our purpose of providing holistic financial advice managing clients cash and borrowings, protecting against risk and building capital for a secure financial future. Graduating the  Academy once Diploma qualified, you’ll take on a role as a Client Manager* to put into practice your knowledge and take this to the next level.

*Financial Advisor role is a bespoke route and would be discussed during selection process.

What the academy route will look like

You will study towards your professional qualifications and sit the R01 to R06 exams required to complete your CII Diploma exams to achieve a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning; this will take approx. six months. You will be required to pass R01 and R05 before you start the Academy.

We will provide you with all of the relevant tools and materials for you to complete your exams, including specified revision time.

This training will be coupled with interactive sessions with our current staff to develop your skills and provide you with invaluable insight and experience to enable you to become the best you can be.

Transition out of the Academy where you will shadow the existing Client Managers and take on work of your own.

What we offer

We will provide you with all the appropriate tools and materials to enable you to complete your exams and relevant training to do your chosen role. All we ask from you is your enthusiasm and commitment.

As a trainee on the Academy you will receive a salary of £20,000. Subject to successful completion of your exams and graduation of the Academy, this salary will then increase in line with our Client Manager role.

Initial Chat

After receiving your CV, if we think you’d be a good fit for the Franklyn Academy we will be in touch for an initial ‘get to know you’ chat (likely via telephone or video chat) to find out more about you and what your ambitions are.

Interview

This will be a more formal, competency-based interview where we can explore your strengths and weaknesses and your aspirations for the future.

Testing

If you have impressed us so far and we think you would be suited to a role on our Academy we will invite you to do a personality questionnaire and key ability test. There are no right or wrong answers here, it is to give us an indication of where your natural abilities and instincts lie and your preferences in how you work.

Final interview

This will be a face-to-face interview where we have the opportunity to delve deeper into the results of your personality questionnaire, looking at your key behaviours and competencies, and to discuss anything else we may have not covered up until this point.

Offer

If you are successful in your interviews we will extend an offer for you to join one of our Academy intakes. As with any job offer we will complete appropriate background and reference checks.
