Franklyn in the community – what have we been getting up to?

With plenty more employee exam passes and our education and community programme in full action, we are coming to the end of another exciting month!

Scroll down to take a read of all the exciting things we have been getting up to this August…

Academy Update

After launching our second cohort of the prestigious training programme, The FFM Academy, we are pleased to say this year’s trainees are well ahead of the programme!

George, Thomas, and Oliver have all successfully sat and passed their first two exams, R01 and R05, after only joining the team 1 month ago.

Head of People and Development, Gemma Tunstall, commented: “We are so pleased with how this year’s trainees have been developing with the programme. George, Thomas, and Oliver are now preparing for their third exam, R03, and will be sitting the exam at the end of August.”

More Exam Passes

Not only have our Academy trainees been sitting and passing exams, the Franklyn back-office team have also been making lots of personal growth and development too.

After being at Franklyn for over a year, Client Manager Ollie, is now only one more exam away from becoming Diploma qualified in Regulated Financial Planning. This forms part of his personal development at Franklyn and is very exciting for him.

Client Manager, James, has also sat and passed his first exam, R01! Not only is this a fantastic achievement for James for his personal growth and development, but a wonderful accomplishment considering he is also studying towards his Chartered Degree Apprenticeship at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Education Programme

August has not only been the month for exam passes but also the month for work experience here at Franklyn as Sandbach High School for Girls student, Ruby, and Kings School Macclesfield student, Oliver, both visited Franklyn for a few days this month.

Ruby and Oliver showed great initiative by working with their schools to arrange time in their summer holidays to gain experience from real professionals in the workplace, and what better place to do it then here at Franklyn!

Ollie Commented: “As someone who has decided on the financial services apprenticeship route after A levels, I approached my in-school career advisor for help with finding work experience, hoping to explore options. She obliged and put me in touch with Chloe who was very helpful in arranging a date for me to come in for an initial interview. I have really enjoyed my time at Franklyn as I was able to observe all areas of the business, this was very helpful as it gave me a good insight on different career paths in finance I have never thought of!”
